what do you want for breakfast?
"Anya," I say, "What do you want for breakfast?"
"Meat," says Anya from her little perch at our kitchen table.
"No meat for breakfast, sorry. What would you like for breakfast?" I say again.
"Ribbies," says Anya. "Bar b Q ribbies."
To this I laugh and laugh.
"How about peaches?" I say.
"Blueberries?" Rachi asks.
"Yes, blueberries." I answer.
"I love blueberries," Anya chimes in.
"Me too," says Rachi.
And so we have breakfast.

Tina-
That is the cutest! I've been having some great conversations with my 3.5 yr old at bedtime. I know that he doesn't like dinosaurs or monsters or sharks (in that order), and that when he was a fish, he used to live in the aquarium on his dresser, and that he likes owls, but they watch us when we sleep, and when he grows up, he's going to drink beer, but he's not going to like it. Conversations like these make me wish that he would stay 3 forever....

That is pretty funny...but now that I think about it, why can't you have ribbies for breakfast? Folks have eggs for dinner and salmon for breakfast? Maybe she's onto something here....
